There is currently a vacancy for a Councillor in the Blackhorse Ward, which can be filled through the co-option process. Please note that you do not need to live in the Blackhorse Ward to be considered.


Councillors are expected to attend monthly Council meetings, to become involved with community activities that interest them, to engage with the local community and to actively promote the work of the Town Council.  This is an unpaid position.  Councillors have the opportunity to go on training courses and attend seminars on subjects that interest them.   Meetings take place in Emersons Green Village Hall.


The closing date for application is Wednesday 29th March 2017.  Applicants will be invited to attend the meeting on Thursday 13th April 2017 to give a brief presentation on why they wish to be considered.  Applicants’ eligibility will be checked and an appointment will follow in time for the meeting on Thursday 11th May 2017.
